Calculate Shares From a Rupee Amount

Turn a rupee budget and a share price into whole shares bought and leftover cash — then optionally apply a current price for market value.

Steps

  1. Decide your budget in rupees and the price per share.
  2. Open the Stock Investment Return Calculator.
  3. Enter buy price = that price, amount = your budget.
  4. For value today, set current price (same as buy price if you only need share count).
  5. Read shares bought and leftover cash.

For derivatives contract sizing, use F&O Lot Size Lookup instead.
