Why is the calendar diff different from total days?
Total days is exact (e.g. 365). Calendar diff respects month/year boundaries (e.g. '1 year, 0 days').
How are business days counted?
Mon-Fri only, inclusive of both ends. Weekends excluded. Doesn't account for public holidays — use Business Days Calculator for that.
Negative result when end < start?
All counts are sign-preserving — negative means the end date is before the start.
