Why it Matters

Brokers show your portfolio after you buy. This tool answers the educational ‘what if’ — how many shares would ₹1 lakh have bought at a past price, what that holding would be worth at a price you paste today, and how splits, bonus issues, and dividends change the picture.

★★★★★

Paste a buy price, an amount invested, and a current price to estimate whole shares, leftover cash, market value, and unrealized P/L. Add dates for CAGR. Part of India Equity Ops.

Educational only — not investment advice. We do not fetch live NSE/BSE quotes. Verify prices and corporate actions yourself. Use optional split / bonus / dividend rows for history you know about.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this financial advice?
No. Educational math only. Verify prices and corporate actions yourself. Past performance does not predict future returns.
Why don't you auto-fill stock prices?
Live exchange data needs licensed feeds and ToS-safe APIs. Paste prices from your broker or exchange so the calculator stays accurate and client-side.
Are fractional shares supported?
Not in v1 — we use whole shares (floor) and show leftover cash, which matches how most Indian cash equity trades settle for retail.
What about stock splits, bonus, and dividends?
Add them under Corporate actions on this tool. Splits and bonuses change share count (cost basis unchanged). Dividends add cash to total return without buying more shares (no DRIP).
Can I compare multiple stocks?
Yes. After a valid result, click Save to compare. Rows stay in this browser’s local storage (up to 50). Sort by total return, P/L, or CAGR. Snapshots do not refresh when market prices change.
How is this different from the Stock CAGR Calculator?
CAGR needs start value, end value, and years. This tool starts from buy price + amount → shares → value, then optionally applies corp actions and derives CAGR from dates.
