How is reading time calculated?
We use the standard adult reading speed of 200 words per minute. The result is rounded up to the nearest second.
How are sentences counted?
Sentences are detected by full stops, exclamation marks, and question marks. Very short text without punctuation is counted as one sentence.
Does it count words in different languages?
Yes, as long as words are separated by spaces. Non-Latin scripts that use spaces are fully supported.
Is there a maximum text size?
There is no hard limit. The counter handles large documents efficiently in the browser.
