Naegele’s Rule is the standard formula for calculating a pregnancy’s estimated due date (EDD): take the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP), add 9 calendar months and 7 days (equivalently: add 1 year, subtract 3 months, add 7 days). Naegele vs. ultrasound dating
