Real-world workflow
Use CaseQuote Transactional Email for a SaaS Client
Walk an agency quote: 10,000 transactional emails per month across SES, SendGrid, Resend, and Postmark — plan floors on the PDF, not a fake per-1k line.
Steps
- Open the Email Cost Calculator.
- Set emails per month to
10000(or the client’s number). If they said “10k emails” and might use SES, confirm they mean recipients. - Leave SES free allowance on None unless they showed you an AWS allowance.
- Leave Cloudflare Already on Workers Paid according to whether they already have Paid (uncheck if Email Sending would be the upgrade).
- Read the table. In the 2026-08-18 card at 10k you should see SES $1.00, Postmark Basic $15, SendGrid Essentials $19.95, Resend Pro $20.
- Put SKU names on the quote (Essentials 50k, Pro 50k, Basic), not “about $0.20 per 1k.”
- Optional: open vendor presets — SendGrid, Postmark, SES — if the client asked for a brand-named PDF screenshot.
- Add a one-line disclaimer: dated estimate, not an invoice; taxes and dedicated IPs omitted.
Watch out
- Annual = 12 × monthly in this tool. Do not invent a discount.
- Marketing email is a different pricing model.
- Clean the list so you are not quoting paid sends of duplicates: Email Validator.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I ×12 for an annual quote?
You can, but say it is 12× the monthly SKU with no annual discount modeled. Vendors often sell yearly cheaper — Tools.Town v1 does not.
What volume should I put in the tool?
The client’s expected *recipients* if SES is in the mix; otherwise their send count. Ask which they meant. Wrong unit is the usual quote bug.
