Estimate an SES Bill at 10k Emails

Work through Amazon SES a-la-carte cost at 10,000 recipients per month, with free tier off, then compare the same volume to SendGrid and Resend plan floors.

Steps

  1. Open the AWS SES Cost Calculator.
  2. Set emails per month to 10000. Treat that as recipients.
  3. Leave Already on Workers Paid as you like — it does not change the SES row.
  4. Leave SES free allowance on None unless you have confirmed an allowance on the AWS account.
  5. Leave attachment GB at 0 unless you send files.
  6. Read the SES line: $1.00 in the 2026-08-18 card ($0.10 × 10). Then scan SendGrid Essentials (~$19.95) and Resend Pro ($20) at the same volume.

Watch out

  • A message with two recipients is two SES sends. If “10k emails” meant 10k campaigns to a 5-person list, the SES number is much larger.
  • Do not enable the 62,000 EC2 myth unless the account still has it.
  • Dedicated IPs and SES bundled plans are not in this total.
