How many PSI is 1 bar?
1 bar equals about 14.5038 PSI. Conversely, 1 PSI is about 0.0689 bar. The converter shows the exact figure to 8 significant figures and lists every other unit alongside.
What's the difference between mmHg and Torr?
They are almost identical — both are based on the height of a mercury column. By the modern definition 1 Torr = 1/760 of a standard atmosphere (≈ 133.322 Pa), and 1 mmHg ≈ 133.322 Pa as well. For everyday purposes they are interchangeable.
How is atmospheric pressure measured?
Standard atmospheric pressure is 101,325 Pa, which equals 1 atm, about 1.01325 bar, 1013.25 hPa/mbar, 760 mmHg, or 14.696 PSI. Weather reports usually use hectopascals (hPa), which are numerically the same as millibars.
