How to use
- Upload your image (JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF).
- Set the blur radius with the slider (0–50px) or tap a quick preset.
- Choose an output format (PNG keeps transparency; JPG and WebP are smaller and let you set quality).
- The preview updates instantly — click Download blurred image to save it.
Choosing a radius
The radius is the blur strength in pixels — how far each pixel bleeds into its neighbours:
- 2–5px — a gentle softening, good for backgrounds behind text.
- 10–20px — clearly blurred; faces and small text become hard to read.
- 30–50px — heavy obscuring, useful for hiding sensitive details or abstract backgrounds.
A note on redaction
A strong blur is fine for everyday privacy — hiding a face or a house number in a photo you’re sharing. If you’re redacting a legal or financial document, prefer a very heavy blur or a solid block, since light blurs can occasionally be reconstructed.

- Focus — drawing the eye to overlaid text by blurring the image behind it.
