What this tool does
The GPA Calculator turns a list of subjects, grades, and credit hours into a single weighted Grade Point Average. Choose the 4.0, 10.0 (CGPA), or percentage scale, add your courses, and your GPA, classification, and total credits appear instantly.
How it works
GPA is a credit-weighted average, not a plain mean. Each course’s grade points are multiplied by its credit hours, the results are summed, and the total is divided by the total credit hours. The logic is a pure function, so the same subjects always produce the same GPA.
Informational only
Grade-point scales and rounding rules differ between institutions. This tool uses widely-used conventions for guidance — your official transcript GPA is the one that counts.
