Why it Matters

Every platform wants a different size — 1080×1080 for an Instagram square, 1080×1920 for a story, 1280×720 for a YouTube thumbnail, 1500×500 for an X header. Why exact sizes matter

Social platforms display images at fixed aspect ratios. Upload something that doesn’t match and the platform auto-crops it — often chopping off a face, a logo, or your headline. Sizing the image yourself first means you decide what stays in frame, and the upload appears exactly as intended. Cover crop, explained

This tool uses a cover fit. The image is scaled up or down until it completely fills the target frame, then the parts that hang over the edges are trimmed equally from both sides. Nothing is stretched, and there are no empty bars.
