Features

  • 12 ready-made presets across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, and Open Graph.
  • Smart centre-crop (cover fit) — fills the frame with no distortion or letterboxing.
  • Exact output dimensions every time, so your upload isn't re-cropped by the platform.
  • 100% client-side — your image never leaves your device.
  • Export as JPG, PNG, or WebP with adjustable quality.

Why it Matters

Every platform wants a different size — 1080×1080 for an Instagram square, 1080×1920 for a story, 1280×720 for a YouTube thumbnail, 1500×500 for an X header. Upload the wrong aspect ratio and the platform crops it for you, usually badly, cutting off the part that mattered. This tool crops to the exact target dimensions on your side, centred and undistorted, so what you see is exactly what gets posted. It runs on a canvas in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there's no watermark.

How to use

  1. Upload your image (JPG, PNG, WebP, or GIF).
  2. Pick a target size from the dropdown — grouped by platform.
  3. The image is centre-cropped to those exact pixel dimensions, with no stretching.
  4. Choose a format and quality, then download the result.

Why exact sizes matter

Social platforms display images at fixed aspect ratios. Upload something that doesn’t match and the platform auto-crops it — often chopping off a face, a logo, or your headline. Sizing the image yourself first means you decide what stays in frame, and the upload appears exactly as intended. It also keeps file sizes sensible: a 4000-pixel photo squeezed into a 1080-pixel post is wasted bandwidth.

Cover crop, explained

This tool uses a cover fit. The image is scaled up or down until it completely fills the target frame, then the parts that hang over the edges are trimmed equally from both sides. Nothing is stretched, and there are no empty bars. Because the crop is centred, the middle of your image is always preserved — so frame your subject near the centre for the best result, or use the dedicated Image Cropper when you need to choose the exact region.

Private by design

The crop and resize happen locally in your browser via the Canvas API. Your image is never uploaded, the export carries no watermark, and the whole thing is instant.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my image get stretched or squished?
No. It uses a centre-crop 'cover' fit: the image is scaled to fill the target frame and the overflowing edges are trimmed, so the aspect ratio is never distorted.
Which platforms and sizes are included?
Instagram (square, portrait, story), Facebook (post, cover), X/Twitter (post, header), LinkedIn (post, cover), YouTube thumbnail, Pinterest pin, and a 1200×630 Open Graph / link-preview size.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The crop and resize run entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image never leaves your device.
Why does it crop instead of adding borders?
Cropping fills the whole frame so your post looks full-bleed and professional. If you'd rather control the exact crop region yourself, use the Image Cropper tool.
