Sending an invoice shouldn’t mean wrestling with a spreadsheet template or signing up for accounting software you’ll use twice a month. Whether you’re a freelancer billing a client or a small business raising a GST invoice, you need something fast, clean, and correct.
Today we’re launching the Invoice Generator on Tools.Town — add your line items, apply GST, and download a professional PDF, all in your browser.
What it does
The Invoice Generator covers the full invoice in one screen, with a live preview that updates as you type:
Business and client details. Add your business name, address, contact info, and logo on the “From” side, and the client’s details — including GSTIN — on the “Bill To” side.
Line items you actually add and remove. Add a row for each product or service with a description, quantity, and rate. The amount per line and the running totals calculate automatically. Need ten items? Add ten rows.
Real GST support. Choose “same state” for a CGST + SGST split, or “other state” for IGST. Set your rate (or tap a preset), and the tax breakdown is applied correctly — the same logic as our GST Calculator. You can also add a flat discount, which is applied before tax.
Amount in words. The grand total is automatically spelled out in Indian format (“Rupees Eighty Four Thousand…”), which is expected on formal invoices.
One-click PDF download. When you’re happy with the preview, download a clean, print-ready A4 PDF to email your client.
Built to stay private
Like every tool on Tools.Town, the Invoice Generator is fully client-side. Your business figures, client details, and invoice amounts never leave your device — the PDF is generated locally in your browser. There’s no account to create and nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Your invoice number even auto-increments between sessions (stored only in your own browser), so your series stays sequential without you tracking it by hand.
