Image Resizer is now live on Tools.Town — a browser-based tool to resize images to exact pixel dimensions or a percentage of their current size, with aspect ratio lock and instant download — no software, no server upload.

Prepare images for social media, optimize thumbnails, or scale assets to fit a design spec in seconds.

What Does It Do?

Pixel Resize

Enter exact width and height in pixels. Aspect ratio lock keeps proportions intact automatically.

Percentage Scale

Scale to 25%, 50%, 75%, or any custom percentage — great for making a proportional copy.

Output Format

Download as JPEG, PNG, or WebP regardless of the input format. Control quality for JPEG output.

All resizing is done in your browser. No images are uploaded to any server at any point.

How It Works

Upload image

Drag and drop or select your image. The current dimensions and file size are shown.

Set new size

Enter pixel dimensions or a percentage. Toggle aspect ratio lock to prevent distortion.

Download

Click Resize & Download to save the resized image in your chosen output format.

Why We Built It

Images come in all shapes and sizes, and practically every platform has specific dimension requirements. Resizing shouldn’t require opening an image editor. Image Resizer handles the most common resize operations directly in the browser — in seconds, with no distortion risk as long as aspect ratio lock is on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I resize to exact pixels?
Yes. Enter specific width and height values in pixels. With aspect ratio lock enabled, changing one dimension updates the other automatically.
Can I resize by percentage?
Yes. Enter a percentage (e.g. 50%) to scale the image proportionally. Useful for quickly making an image half or twice its current size.
Does it reduce file size too?
Resizing to smaller dimensions naturally reduces file size. For additional compression without changing dimensions, use Image Compressor.
