Image Compressor is now live on Tools.Town — a browser-based tool that reduces the file size of JPEG, PNG, and WebP images by adjusting compression quality, showing you the before/after file sizes, and letting you download the result immediately.

Smaller images mean faster pages. Compress your assets in seconds without installing anything.

What Does It Do?

Lossy Compression

Reduce JPEG and WebP sizes by up to 80% using adjustable quality settings — most users can't tell the difference above 75%.

PNG Optimization

Losslessly optimize PNGs to reduce file size without touching image quality.

Size Report

See original size, compressed size, and percentage saved side by side before downloading.

Compression runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API — your images are never uploaded to any server.

How It Works

Upload image

Drag and drop or click to upload JPEG, PNG, or WebP. Batch upload multiple images at once.

Set quality

Drag the quality slider (0–100). 75–85 is the sweet spot for JPEG — visually identical but much smaller.

Download

See the size reduction, then click Download to save the compressed image.

Why We Built It

Page speed is a ranking signal and a user experience factor. Unoptimized images are the single most common cause of slow pages. Image Compressor makes optimization instant and private — no sign-up, no upload to a third-party service, no waiting. Compress before you deploy, every time.
